Role Purpose
The Global Costing Controller supports the development and ongoing operation of Unilabs’ global costing and net profitability capabilities.
This role is highly data-oriented and hands-on, focused on calculations, data preparation, analysis, and model maintenance. The position actively contributes to building robust costing frameworks and works directly with local markets and partner functions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
The Global Costing Controller plays a key role in transforming raw operational and financial data into reliable costing and profitability insights that support business decisions across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Costing Models & Calculations
Support the development, maintenance, and operation of global costing and net profitability models Perform detailed cost calculations, allocations, and reconciliations across services, tests, and operational units Ensure costing methodologies are correctly applied and documented
Data Management & Quality
Collect, validate, and consolidate cost and operational data from local markets Perform data quality checks, variance analysis, and root-cause investigation Ensure consistency of data definitions and adherence to global standards
Analysis & Reporting Support
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc costing and profitability analyses Support the production of dashboards and reports in collaboration with BI teams Contribute to margin analysis, cost driver insights, and performance tracking
Market & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work directly and actively with local finance teams, operations, procurement, and commercial functions Support markets in understanding costing outputs and underlying assumptions Act as a key point of contact for data-related costing questions from local teams
Capability & Process Development
Contribute to the development of global costing processes, tools, and documentation Support the rollout and adoption of costing methodologies across markets Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements

Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in management accounting, controlling, or financial analysis Fluent in English Hands-on experience with costing, cost allocation, and profitability analysis Experience working with large datasets, ERP systems, and BI tools Exposure to healthcare, medical diagnostics, or other operationally complex environments is a plus
