Position Summary
The Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse production and operations. This role ensures orders and shipments are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and within service levels. Responsibilities include labor projection support, employee training, productivity oversight, kitting and special projects, supply management, and use of warehouse, order management, and carrier systems to ensure accurate fulfillment and shipping.
Essential Job Functions
Provide training and direction to picking and packing personnel under the guidance of the Warehouse ManagerAssist with labor projections and productivity reportingOversee kitting activities and special projectsMaintain supplies required for effective warehouse operationsMaintain awareness of all available product delivery methods and carrier optionsUse warehouse, order management, and carrier software to support accurate fulfillment and shippingCollaborate with Account Management and internal teams to ensure effective client work managementKey Responsibilities
Train assistant management and picking and packing personnelDelegate orders and warehouse projects to staffMonitor pack floor operations and staff performanceProcess orders for specific clientsConduct daily warehouse safety inspections and maintain safety standardsAssist in projecting labor requirements and managing workforce allocationMeasure and report staff productivity levelsDelegate cleaning responsibilities and manage cleaning schedulesManage scan stations, carrier shipment stations, unscannable packaging, and system errorsEnsure all packages are shipped daily and on timeClose carriers and send up-to-date shipping dataWork closely with clients, warehouse staff, and Account ManagersPromote staff motivation and efficient warehouse operationsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business ethics standardsSecure the warehouse daily, complete logs, performance reports, and set alarmsPerform other duties as assignedInternal & External Cooperation

Functional knowledge of warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operationsExperience supporting or leading picking, packing, shipping, and kitting activitiesAbility to train, supervise, and delegate work to warehouse personnelExperience with labor planning, productivity tracking, and operational reportingFamiliarity with carrier operations and shipping methodsWorking knowledge of WMS and/or OMS systems preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Strong written and verbal communication skillsCustomer-focused mindsetAbility to work flexibly in a fast-paced warehouse environmentForklift operator certification or ability to instructScissor lift operation experienceBenefits
