Role Summary Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a high-impact Senior Associate Director – Retail Leasing to drive strategic growth of the Retail business in India. This is a leadership hiring mandate focused on building revenue pipelines, winning marquee mandates, and strengthening senior-level client relationships. The role demands a commercially driven leader with a proven ability to originate and close complex retail leasing transactions, influence C-suite stakeholders, and contribute to market leadership in a competitive environment.
Key Accountabilities Revenue Leadership & Business Growth
• Own and deliver individual revenue targets aligned with broader Retail business objectives • Drive new business acquisition, including large and strategic mandates across developers, brands, and institutional clients • Build a robust and scalable deal pipeline, with clear visibility on conversions and closures • Identify white spaces across high streets, malls, and emerging retail formats and drive go-to-market strategies Client Leadership & Strategic Advisory
• Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, including landlords, developers, private equity firms, and corporate occupiers • Lead C-suite and senior stakeholder engagements, driving strategic leasing conversations • Provide insight-led advisory leveraging deep market intelligence, financial acumen, and sector trends • Build long-term client partnerships that translate into repeat business and cross-sell opportunities Transaction Leadership
• Lead and execute complex, high-value leasing transactions end-to-end • Drive commercial negotiations, structuring deals that maximize value for clients and the firm • Oversee preparation and delivery of best-in-class client materials, including: • Financial models and lease analytics • Market entry strategies • Location planning and portfolio optimization
• Ensure high standards of execution and risk management across deals Market Leadership & Thought Contribution
• Act as a market leader, bringing strong perspectives on retail trends, tenant demand, and location strategy • Contribute to market positioning through thought leadership, industry engagement, and key client presentations • Partner with research teams to shape data-driven insights, market reports, and pitch materials Team Leadership & Capability Building
• Mentor and guide junior team members, enhancing overall team capability and performance • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Cushman & Wakefield values • Actively contribute to internal leadership forums, sales reviews, and business planning initiatives
