Job Description Position Summary Undergraduate students from Zamorano University from Food Science, Horticulture or Ag production will visit Gutierrez lab for a 5-month internship from August 2026 to January 2027. Topics for the internship will be: · CEA practices impacting food safety · Fresh cut facility EMP · Cantaloupe production and fresh cut practices Full Consideration Date August 1, 2026 Brief Work Unit Description The Horticulture and Landscape Architecture department strives to discover, apply, and disseminate knowledge and technology while developing future leaders in the state, the nation, and the world. Through hands-on experiential learning in each of our three majors, Environmental Horticulture, Horticulture, and Landscape Architecture, we encourage human engagement with the landscape and demonstrate our focus to solve problems for people, agriculture, and the environment through scholarship and creativity fostered by teamwork and individual diversity. Horticulture Degree Programs | Landscape & Design at CSU Essential Job Duties 1. Media preparation 2. Lab organization 3. Perform CEA or Fresh cut evaluations, data recording and analysis 4. Occasional travel will be needed to ARDEC or LA Junta Research Stations 5.
