Description Copeland is seeking a motivated Procurement Professional eager to grow their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Based in Sidney, Ohio, this position is a key member of the Business Unit Procurement team. The Procurement Project Leader – Sustaining will be responsible for executing and implementing supplier transitions, resourcing initiatives, and sustaining procurement projects that support business unit objectives.
This role will work closely with Enterprise Procurement, Commodity Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to ensure successful implementation of sourcing strategies and supplier changes. The individual will serve as the primary coordinator for procurement-related project execution activities, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and operational readiness are achieved. This position reports directly to Procurement Leadership and partners closely with Copeland’s Center-Led Procurement and Business Group Supply Chain teams to support execution of category and sourcing strategies. As the Senior Procurement Project Leader, you will:
• Lead implementation and execution of supplier transitions, resourcing activities, and sustaining procurement projects aligned with business objectives • Coordinate cross-functional activities required to successfully launch supplier changes, including alignment with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams • Develop and manage project timelines, action plans, risk assessments, and execution milestones to ensure successful implementation • Drive accountability across internal teams and suppliers to meet project deliverables, timing, and operational readiness requirements • Monitor and expedite critical project activities to mitigate risks, avoid supply disruptions, and ensure continuity of supply • Maintain accurate project documentation, sourcing records, and status reporting throughout the project lifecycle • Support implementation of procurement and commodity strategies established by Center-Led Procurement teams • Identify and communicate project risks, constraints, and escalation items to procurement and business leadership • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain optimization, supplier performance, and operational efficiency Required education, experiences & skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered • 5+ years year of experience in tactical sourcing, procurement, or a related field • Comprehensive understanding of the purchase order lifecycle, cost/price analysis, and logistics processes • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve operational challenges • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting • Strong project management capability with a track record of timely execution • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans • Demonstrated ability to assess processes and recommend improvements • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and data visualization tools • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as required Preferred education, experiences & skills:
• Experience supporting supplier transitions, resourcing projects, or procurement implementation activities within a manufacturing environment • Familiarity with project tracking tools, sourcing documentation, and procurement processes • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Word, Access, and PowerPoint • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location
