Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Pipe Helpers to join our manufacturing shop. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks to support the Pipe Department. You will work alongside skilled trades employees and have the opportunity to gain industry experience and grow your career path.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Responsibilities:
• Assist other trade employees in the Pipe Department as directed (e.g. Pipe welders, Pipe fitters, Plumbers, etc.) • Handle and organize material • Clean and maintain work areas, materials, and tools by removing debris and trash • Use power tools (e.g. grinder, drill, impact wrench, etc.) • Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies • Work in a fast-paced team environment
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent • At least 6 months experience in a manufacturing or construction environment • Speaking and reading proficiency in either English or Spanish is required • Previous pipefitting or plumbing experience preferred
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
• Ability to read a tape measure required • Ability to read blueprints preferred • Ability to work independently and on a team • Strong verbal communication skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift • Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels • Ability to perform work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts
