Job Description Summary:
What You’ll Do for Us
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. • Weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. • Supply filling equipment with materials such as caps, sanitizing chemicals and bottles. • Proactively monitor the production line, filler, Blow molder, capper and perform conveyance watching for problems such as pileups or jams. • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items. • CIP/clean the filler, capper, coder, and surrounding area. Maintain the entire filling area in an audit ready condition during production. • Able to complete CL, CIL and MSS on time and CIP check list. • Confirm product quality with the Quality Assurance Department prior to production and during the production of the product, ensuring it meets and complies with all quality protocols. • Oil, trouble shoot and make minor adjustments or repairs to filling Blow molder and capping equipment. • Aid in the training of new personnel if necessary. • Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. • Perform Filler and BM change over without assistance • Ability to perform operations PMs following OEM procedures. • Ability to drive a forklift • 3-year experience operating Aseptic Krones filler equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements · Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment. · Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation. · Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear. · A High School/vocational diploma preferred · High School level verbal and written communication skills. · Basic computational skills required. Simple math and reasoning required. · Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period. · 2 years of experience operating aseptic filler or blow molder equipment · Able to work all shifts as business needs. · CIP/SIP experience on Krones aseptic block. · Ability to drive a forklift.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess or be able to use HMI (human machine interface) devices and understand process trending and SPC (statistical Process Control).
• Food safety requirements: · Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety. · Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas. · Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company. · Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. · Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system. · Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. · In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required. · Document machine performance, abnormal occurrences and all intervention daily.
