Job Description Summary:
We are establishing a Greenfield manufacturing facility at Tlaxcala in Mexico. This will be the flagship facility in line with Industry 4.0, with state-of-the-art advanced automation and digitization.
The Project Finance Lead plays a critical role in driving the financial success and governance of projects, acting as a strategic partner to the Project Manager. This role is responsible for end-to-end financial oversight, ensuring robust financial planning, risk management, compliance, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
As a key financial steward, the incumbent will serve as the single point of accountability for all project-related financial matters—supporting decision-making, safeguarding assets, and ensuring alignment with organizational and project objectives. The role requires strong collaboration across project teams, finance functions, auditors, and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do For Us:
• Serve as a financial partner to the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with project financial goals and performance targets.
• Provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial information related to project performance.
• Act as the single point of contact for all financial matters concerning the project.
• Monitor and track project deliverables and financial progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Drive budgetary control and cash flow management to support project execution and financial health.
• Support and actively participate in contract negotiations, ensuring favorable financial terms aligned with project objectives.
• Lead financial risk management, including identification, reporting, and mitigation planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal financial governance frameworks.
• Manage financial reporting, including project performance, operational metrics, KPIs, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate and support audits (statutory, tax, internal), banking requirements, and interactions with the Group Finance team.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Qualified Accounting Professional (CA, CPA, CMA) or Postgraduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Business.
• Proficiency in SAP, BI tools, and MIS reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• 8–12 years of experience managing finance operations for manufacturing setups, ideally within FMCG.
• Exposure to project execution in similar industries.
• Strong experience in setting up financial systems, processes, and controls.
• Demonstrated capability in project management and financial oversight.
• Experience in due diligence, regulatory compliance, and documentation.
• Expertise in financial modeling and financial risk tracking.
• Experience coordinating audits and management reporting.
• Ability to present financial insights to senior leadership or board-level stakeholders.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; other languages advantageous.
