Manager, R&D Software Quality managing test automation teams working on products based on micro service based architectureJoin Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as Manager, R&D Software Quality and play a critical leadership role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our software solutions that support clinical research globally. You will lead a high‑performing Software Quality Engineering team and partner closely with R&D, Product, and Project Management to deliver high‑quality software in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.

What you'll be doing
• Lead and develop a team of manual and automation quality engineers
• Plan and prioritize test activities to ensure on‑time, in‑scope delivery
• Define and communicate test strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements
• Oversee test planning, execution, reporting, and traceability across all test levels
• Drive continuous improvement of quality processes, standards, and automation practices
• Select and implement testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies
• Ensure completeness of system, regression, security, and acceptance testing
• Collaborate with R&D, Product, and Project Management to evaluate deliverables and acceptance criteria
• Identify risks, process gaps, and audit findings, and drive corrective actions
• Provide expert guidance on testing standards, quality management, and regulatory expectations
What we look for
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years in software quality engineering, including 3+ years in people management
• Experience leading teams across manual and automated testing
• Strong expertise with testing tools, automation frameworks, and Agile methodologies (Scrum or SAFe)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud-based solutions, and SDLC
• Hands-on experience with scripting/programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby) and SQL
• Experience testing APIs and/or mobile applications
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools; Polarion is a plus
• Understanding of FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 11, cGxP) is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
