About this role
Key Areas of Responsibilities
• Creation, maintenance and updating of financial models of coverage companies
• Creation and maintenance of industry databases in semiconductors, software and technology hardware.
• Writing research draft reports for review and edits by senior analyst
• Writing primers in technical topics related to the coverage
• Scouting for interesting academic research, blogs and industry publications that can add value to the research product
• Exploring new areas of development in technology, especially in fields linked to AI
• Answering client requests for data related to companies under coverage or industry
• Bespoke analysis based on client requests
• Answering questions from CLSA/CITIC sales and trading teams
Requirements
• Master’s (preferred)/Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or above in engineering/business disciplines
• No minimum work experience needed.
• Extensive command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Proficiency in written articulation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, alongside the ability to multi-task
• Attention to details is a must for a career in equity research
• Excellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written English
• Open to feedback, ability to handle a steep learning curve, demanding schedules and deadlines
