<p><strong>Do you see tax as more than compliance, as a strategic level within a complex, international business?<br>Are you comfortable navigating VAT, Intrastat, withholdings, and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions while also driving process improvements and influencing stakeholders?<br></strong>Then this role is built for you.<br>We’re looking for a <strong>Tax Specialist</strong> to join the BESTSELLER South HUB in Málaga, someone who combines deep tax expertise with systems understanding, strong accounting foundations, and the ability to operate effectively in an enterprise environment.</p><p><strong>OUR TEAM</strong></p> <p>At BESTSELLER’s South HUB, we manage finance operations across Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal in a fast-paced, international environment. Here, tax is not treated as a silo, but as an integral part of the wider finance function and business ecosystem, closely connected to how the organization operates and makes decisions.</p> <p>We are building a team of specialists who combine strong technical tax expertise with a broader perspective, professionals who link tax with accounting and systems, challenge and improve existing processes, and act as true partners to the business rather than just function-specific experts.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>YOUR RESPONSIBILITY</strong></p> <p>This is not about ticking boxes or just filing returns, this is about owning tax processes, improving them, and making sure they work in a complex, multi-country setup.</p> <p>You will:</p> <ul> <li>Take ownership of VAT, SII, Intrastat, and tax compliance across several countries </li> <li>Manage withholdings for employees, freelancers, and professionals</li> <li>Ensure everything is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready</li> <li>Act as a key contact for audits and tax-related topics</li> <li>Work closely with accounting to ensure tax and finance are aligned</li> <li>Collaborate with systems and other teams to improve processes and automation (SAP or similar)</li> <li>Identify inefficiencies and challenge the way things are done</li> <li>Translate tax into something clear and usable for stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <p>Let’s be honest: you either love tax, or you don’t.</p> <p>We’re looking for someone who:</p> <ul> <li>Has experience in tax and/or accounting, ideally in an international or enterprise environment</li> <li>Understands VAT and indirect tax beyond the basics</li> <li>Sees how tax connects with accounting, systems, and business operations</li> <li>Is comfortable working with ERPs and data (SAP is a plus)</li> <li>Can manage stakeholders without overcomplicating things</li> <li>Communicates clearly especially when things are complex</li> <li>Has a mindset of ownership, improvement, and curiosity </li> </ul> <p>Fluent English is a must.
