About this role

About the role

You will contribute to the English Language and Linguistics undergraduate programmes though convening, teaching and assessing modules. You will deliver in-person lectures, seminars and workshops and offer weekly student hours in term time.

You will collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues and support students in their learning experience. Expertise is required in phonetics and phonology with the ability and willingness to teach into other area of linguistics. Expertise in morphology and syntax or psycholinguistics is highly desirable.

About you

You will have a PhD in Linguistics. You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate level in the UK and a qualification in higher education teaching is preferred. You will have the communicative and interpersonal skills to support students in their learning and to work collaboratively with colleagues.

You will have the necessary expertise to teach in phonetics and phonology and an active interest in a range of linguistics areas.
