About this role

The Opportunity:

Required for an immediate start, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of an EEG database and prototype that will in turn help new advances in signal analysis and causal Artificial Intelligence (AI) to identify seizures and predict outcomes, addressing barriers to early diagnosis in children with epilepsy.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The position plays a central role in our multidisciplinary team, by establishing and annotating a new EEG database, and the development of a remote EEG device prototype, funded by a multidisciplinary >£2m EPSRC grant.

Your skills and attributes for success:

BSc in Healthcare Science (Neurophysiology) or other relevant science degree (e.g. Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Psychology) Training in clinical or research electrophysiology. Demonstrable understanding in acquiring and analysing EEG data (using specialised software, e.g. EEGLAB, MNE-Python or other).
