<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst</strong></p> <p><strong>Contract Type: Permanent</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Alderley Park</strong></p> <p><strong>Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based</strong></p> <p><strong>Closing date: 7th July 2026</strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial and Regulatory Reporting (FRR) team within Group Finance. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the planning and delivery of Royal London’s financial and regulatory reporting, supporting the production of high‑quality, accurate and timely outputs that meet internal and external requirements.</p> <p>You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Group Finance, external auditors and the wider business, gaining exposure to a broad range of financial reporting activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support the planning for and production of quarterly financial reporting, half‑yearly results announcements and the Group Annual Report and Accounts (ARA).</li> <li>Assist with the Group consolidation process and preparation of subsidiary financial statements and board reporting.</li> <li>Prepare initial drafts of key deliverables, including financial reports, ARA roll‑forwards and selected Audit Committee papers.</li> <li>Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, supporting audit requests and ensuring timely delivery of required information.</li> <li>Support the preparation of regulatory returns and manage the quarterly provisions refresh process.</li> <li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives, maximising the use of finance systems and tools such as Oracle and Workiva.</li> <li>Provide support on ad‑hoc projects and wider Financial Reporting team objectives as required</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>About you</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>A qualified or part‑qualified accountant, ideally with experience in financial reporting.</li> <li>Experience preparing and/or auditing financial statements.</li> <li>An understanding of insurance accounting principles, systems and procedures, ideally within the life insurance sector.</li> <li>Strong analytical, numerical, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.</li> <li>Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across finance and the wider business.</li> <li>A collaborative team player with a positive attitude to change and a commitment to continuous professional development.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>About Royal London</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We’re the UK’s largest mutual life, pensions and investment company, offering protection, long-term savings and asset management products and services. </p> <p>Our <a href="https://jobs.royallondon.com/content/Our-people-promise/?locale=en_GB%22%20\t%20%22_blank">People Promise</a> to our colleagues is that we will all work somewhere inclusive, responsible, enjoyable and fulfilling.
