Overview: The Corporate Development & Edward Jones Ventures team within the Firm Strategy division drives meaningful value creation for the firm through strategic investments, acquisitions, new business incubation, and partnerships that expand what the firm can deliver to clients and financial advisors. This role is central to that mission—translating investment strategy into real-world impact for clients and branch teams. As a Senior Associate, you drive end-to-end venture execution from investment to pilot to commercialization—accelerating speed to value and ensuring ideas turn into measurable outcomes. The role operates beyond the firm’s walls, working closely with entrepreneurs and investors in addition to working with financial advisors and internal stakeholders to bring innovative solutions to life. You will serve as the connective tissue and driving force across governance approvals, pilot design, and go-to-market activation, combining structured and creative problem solving to navigate ambiguity, forge new paths, and deliver results. What You'll Do Source and qualify inorganic opportunities, guided by an explicit portfolio strategy and growth thesis, shaping the strategic rationale and defining the business case for pursuit. Translate investments into actional pilot programs that validate strategic and commercial value, leading the progression of portfolio companies from initial investment through pilot execution to commercialization decisions. Design and operationalize pilots that are fit-for-purpose, scalable, aligned to business priorities, and clearly measurable, including defining clear use cases, participant criteria, workflows, and engagement strategies. Navigate complex internal stakeholder environments to drive alignment, mitigate risk, and maintain execution velocity. Serve as the connective tissue between startup founders, venture partners, and internal stakeholders to align on shared goals and product requirements to unlock value.
