Job Summary We are looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow key customer accounts across Queensland. The role will focus on developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts through cross-selling and value-based selling, and driving sustainable revenue growth. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes while maintaining an active sales pipeline and CRM.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow gold, silver and bronze customer accounts within the assigned territory.
• Build long-term customer relationships through regular customer visits.
• Identify and acquire new customers to expand the Queensland customer portfolio.
• Develop account plans to increase sales, profitability and customer retention.
• Execute cross-selling, basket selling and value-based pricing strategies.
• Prepare quotations, respond to RFQs and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Identify customer potential and convert opportunities into profitable business.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and update CRM accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging business opportunities.
Recommended Candidate Profile
• 3–7+ years of B2B sales or Account Management experience.
• Ideally a tertiary education in Business, Engineering, Science, Sales or related field. Technical background in chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial, agriculture, mining, Oil & Gas will be highly regarded.
• Proven experience managing key accounts and developing new business.
• Experience selling specialty chemicals and raw materials in industries such as Agricultural, Industrial, Water Treatment, Mining, Oil & Gas.
• Portrait a strong “can do”, responsive and problem solver attitude. Customer focused and you are a hunger for sales and passion to deliver results.
• Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and independently to deliver key strategic outcomes.
• Experience handling quotations, tender, pricing and RFQs,
• Experience preparing monthly sales forecast and maintaining active opportunity pipelines.
• Comfortable travelling regularly across Queensland.
• CRM experience (Salesforce, SAP CRM or similar preferred).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Recent graduates in relevant industries with strong sales aptitude and working experience will be considered.
