As an Employee Advisor at BP PLC, you will serve as a trusted resource, providing expert guidance and support to employees on a wide range of HR-related matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and guidance to employees on company policies, procedures, and employment legislation. * Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, resolving issues where possible and escalating complex cases to HR specialists or management. * Support employees through various HR processes, including performance management, grievance, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and compliance. * Conduct investigations into employee relations issues, gathering information, interviewing relevant parties, and preparing comprehensive reports. * Collaborate with HR business partners and line managers to identify and address emerging employee relations trends and develop proactive solutions. * Facilitate informal conflict resolution and mediation between employees. * Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations. * Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives to enhance the employee experience. * Deliver training and workshops to employees and managers on HR-related topics. * Stay up-to-date with employment law changes and best practices in employee relations.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. * Proven experience (3+ years) in an HR advisory, employee relations, or similar role, preferably within a large, multinational organization. * Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively. * Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to investigations and issue resolution. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite. * CIPD qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.ar
