About this role
<p><strong>WHAT YOU DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and maintain all IFS documentation, non-conformance, controlled documents, and complaint management systems while acting as the primary contact for customer queries and audits. </li> <li>Analyse operational data and conduct horizon scanning to identify adverse trends, compile complex reports, and recommend effective solutions. </li> <li>Ensure the continuous development and improvement of the quality management system according to IFS and customer requirements. </li> <li>Conduct thorough internal audits and plan regular GMP plant tours to monitor day-to-day hygiene standards. </li> <li>Organise and execute regular site traceability exercises and crisis simulation tests.</li> <li>Participate actively in the site HACCP team and lead vital process validation work. </li> <li>Uphold compliance with UK legislation and deliver expert training on food safety topics within your area of expertise. </li> </ul> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety or a science-related discipline.</li> <li>Formally qualified to a minimum of Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety, alongside an internal auditing qualification (Lead or 3rd party auditing status is highly desirable). </li> <li>Professional background in the food sector with extensive experience in a comparable quality management role, including project management and basic leadership exposure. </li> <li>Proven track record of managing and delivering successful audit outcomes with excellent operational knowledge of GFSI standards (BRC / IFS).</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ideally with practical exposure to LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies. </li> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the business.</li> <li>Expert user of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace environments combined with comprehensive working knowledge of SAP. </li> <li>Willingness to work ad-hoc shifts when necessary to support validation work, training, or investigations. </li> </ul> <p><strong>OUR OFFER</strong></p> <ul> <li>33 days annual leave per year inclusive of Bank Holidays</li> <li>Healthcare Cash Plan after qualifying period</li> <li>Life Assurance Cover of 3 times basic salary</li> <li>Contributory Pension Scheme</li> <li>Employee Assistance Programs with access to savings & discounts</li> <li>24/7 helpline and much more</li> <li><strong>Contract type</strong>: 1st August 2026 - permanent</li> <li><strong>Working time</strong>: 37.5 hours per week // Office hours</li> <li>Competitive salary, dependent on experience</li> </ul><p><strong>WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?</strong></p> <p>Simply apply directly online to MEG Derby via <a href="https://jobs.schwarz-produktion.com/">jobs.schwarz-produktion.com</a>.</p> <div id="clearer"></div> <div id="interferer"></div> <div> </div>
