Job Description: Staff Engineer, Modeling CFD Thermal Analysis

Location: This position will be based in Bangalore, India
Role & Responsibilities:
• Participate as a member of the engineering in design and development of our product, for system and components- from concept phase to production • Thermal management of the whole system/Data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling • Perform flow and thermal analysis, including rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers • Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models • Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement • Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support in troubleshooting performance issues • Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis
Education & Experience:
• MS/ MTech in Mechanical Engineering with a background in applied CFD • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer • 4-6 years of experience in an engineering company supporting product development • Experience of at least 3-5 years in engineering CFD software packages, such as or similar to ANSYS Icepak /Cadence/CoolSim /FloTherm. • Ansys Icepak modeling experience in Thermal analysis of the electronic system & ventilation is desirable • Experience in Data Center thermal management is a plus • Ability to develop & validate thermal models of High-density electronic assemblies, Battery pack, and Complete system • Ability to evaluate and optimize air flow, heat dissipation, & temperature distribution to improve cooling performance • Proficiency in building CFD models of the whole system/site/data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling • Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design • Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems • Strong drive for results and continuous improvement • Excellent communication skills
