Summary CT Tech-PRN First Shift
Baptist Health Imaging services include Inpatients, emergency patients, as well as Outpatients. The procedures and imaging provided are as follows but are not limited to: Diagnostic Procedures: Hysterosalpingogram, Nephrostogram, Arthrograms, Sinograms, Pyelograms, Cystograms, Barium Studies, Portable X-Ray and Fluoroscopy, and all Routine Radiographic Exams.
Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.Job Description: CT Tech-PRN
• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures for accurate interpretation by the Radiologist. • Verify patient identification, orders, and medical history to ensure proper exam preparation. • Administer contrast materials safely and document procedures, reactions, and medications accurately. • Monitor patients throughout exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards (ALARA). • Perform daily equipment warm-up, quality control (QC) checks, and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. • Accurately archive and verify images in PACS; notify administrators of any imaging or transmission issues. • Collaborate with Radiologists and the CT Coordinator to maintain imaging protocols and support ACR accreditation requirements. • Assist in developing and adjusting exam protocols for adult and pediatric patients in accordance with regulatory and safety guidelines. • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and linens, ensuring readiness of the CT suite. • Provide guidance and training to new staff and imaging students during clinical rotations. • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards. • Participate in required training programs, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements
• Associate degree • Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT(R) • Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. • One or two years in Special Imaging Preferred • BLS required, new employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation. • Must obtain Advanced ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year Benefits:
