Summary Job Description: Monitor Technician Part-Time I Third Shift (12hrs) Emergency Department I Hamburg
The Emergency Department at Baptist Health Hamburg is a part of a 344,000-square-foot medical center offering 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages. The ED includes specialty treatment rooms, an Extended Care Unit for short-stay observation, and access to 24-hour EMS transport, including ALS ambulance support. Description:
• Observes cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation and Blood pressure. Maintains equipment and supplies. • Documents and communicates information regarding patient rhythms and Oxygen saturations, and blood pressure. • Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members. • Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring. Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent. • Less than one year's experience. • RN License, LPN, prior monitor tech experience (substitute for degree) • Dysrhythmia courses are completed during orientation and recertified annually. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. Benefits:
