Summary Job Description: Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II Full-Time, First Shift Surgical Services I Lexington, KY
Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:
• At the direction of management and/or nursing personnel, assists the hospital staff/department in the provision of high quality, safe patient care • Provides basic physical care of the patient. • Demonstrates safe patient transport with stretcher, wheelchairs, and patient beds. • Performs tasks and procedures as directed according to hospital policy and procedure. • Ensures positive customer relations interactions. • Actively participates in unit activities. • Perform routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment and care of patients. • On Call required-weeknights, weekends, and holiday picked by rotation. Requirements Pre-OP Nursing Assistant II:
• High School Diploma and/or Equivalent. • Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date. Benefits:
