About this role
Job Description:
• Manage and supervise a team of technical supervising RTOs in performing their duties on site with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and M&E engineering works. RE to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client's requirements.
• Report to C&S QP, works closely with the regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on site, resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the projects.
• To be competent in carrying out supervision of structural works including temporary works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site. The appointed person must have the strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.
• Appointed person possesses a complete understanding of local requirement especially to comply with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance system.
• Carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
• Implement and sustain the site supervision quality & safety assurance system
• Ensure that proper site documentation for on-going works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shopdrawing, as-built submissions, etc are well managed.
• To attend site progress, technical, client-consultant, variation and coordination meetings
• Any other task assigned from time to time.
• Estimated commencement of work in Q3 2026.
Requirements:
• Recognized Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Engineer Practicing Certificate
• Minimum 8 years’ C&S work experience with strong knowledge in construction of building structures. Those who possess QA/QC experience in Precast fabrication, production and construction will have added advantage.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, BIM and VDC capabilities will have an added advantage
• A good team player with effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels.
• Preferably with experiences in healthcare projects.
• Must be conversant with local codes and familiar with local authority’s regulations and requirements
• Good supervisory and leadership skills, with experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers including managing Arch RTO's supervision works as well as Architectural work progress reporting by Arch RTO.
• Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports
• Strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract drawings on works to be carried.
• Carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
