Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Support Teaching Assistant required from September 2026
33.75 hrs per week. 08:30-15:45 Mon-Fri
Responsible to the Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator
The Governors of our large, two-site school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and appropriately qualified and experienced member of staff to support SEMH across all year groups.
The successful candidate for the post will need to demonstrate proven experience and commitment to inclusive education and the ability to be flexible and creative in developing positive working relationships with children and staff.
The role will include supporting pupils in and out of class, providing de-escalation support and leading SEMH interventions. The role may require compliance with the school’s Intimate Care Policy.
As part of our safeguarding children procedures the successful candidate will be required to undertake enhanced DBS checks.
