CWA Austen is a unique co-educational, all-through school for up to 128 pupils aged 5-16 with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The RoleAs Deputy Support Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping positive behavioural outcomes across the school. You will lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of behaviour strategies, working closely with staff, students and families.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and embedding effective behaviour management strategies across the schoolSupporting and coaching staff to build confidence in managing behaviourPlanning and delivering targeted interventions for individual students and groupsManaging behaviour systems, including CPOMS recording, monitoring and reportingLeading post-incident reviews and ensuring robust follow-up processesDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with parents, carers and external agenciesOverseeing and developing the behaviour support teamDelivering training, including becoming a General Services (GSA) TutorPromoting a safe, structured and nurturing environment for all studentsYou will also contribute to whole-school improvement, ensuring behaviour systems are consistent, effective and aligned with best practice in ASC and SEMH provision.
