Arbour Academy is a specialist SEMH provision within the Kings Academy Trust, offering a small, nurturing environment for young people who are unable to access mainstream education. We are seeking a committed and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners, and who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
Support learners with a range of additional needs, both individually and in groups.Work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour, and wellbeing.Help implement support plans and monitor learner progress.Prepare and adapt learning resources, including the use of ICT where appropriate.Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.Contribute to assessments, reports, and record keeping.Support learners during exams, trips, residentials, and off-site activities.Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and other professionals where required.Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures.Participate in training and wider school activities as required.
