About this role
The Clerk will:
Plan, prepare and administer Local Committee meetings in line with Trust expectationsAttend and minute meetings, which are usually held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; if meeting times vary, notice will always be providedProduce clear, impartial and accurate minutes reflecting discussion, challenge and decisionsProvide procedural and governance advice to the Chair and committeeMaintain accurate governance records, update GovernorHub and support compliance with statutory requirementsUse AI tools to support drafting, summarising and efficient document production
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong administrative experience and excellent written EnglishIs confident and capable in the use of AI tools for drafting, summarising, note‑taking and minute production (essential)Has high digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and online systemsIs well organised, reliable and able to meet deadlines independentlyUnderstands confidentiality, GDPR and safeguarding principlesCan attend meetings that generally take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with flexibility when required and with notice givenExperience in clerking or school governance is helpful but not essential if strong transferable skills are demonstrated.
