As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the Early Years, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, enabling pupils to engage fully with learning and develop confidence, independence, and positive relationships. This is a role where no two days are the same - and where your impact will be felt every day.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Support the delivery of planned learning activities, adapting approaches to meet individual pupil needsWork collaboratively with teachers to plan, evaluate and review pupil progressAssist in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil attainment and behaviourProvide clear, supportive feedback to pupils to encourage progress and independencePrepare and organise learning resources to support lessons and interventionsPromote pupils’ social, emotional and mental wellbeingSupport inclusive practice and ensure all pupils can access learning opportunitiesBuild positive relationships with pupils, staff, families, and external professionalsContribute to a safe, respectful and engaging learning environmentSupport pupils with personal care, health and wellbeing needs where requiredAssist with breaktime supervision, educational visits, and wider school activitiesWho We Are Looking For

Is passionate about supporting children with SEND to achieve their potentialHas experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational settingDemonstrates patience, empathy and a nurturing approachWorks effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiativeHas strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with children and adultsIs committed to inclusion, safeguarding and the wellbeing of all pupilsHas good literacy, numeracy and basic ICT skillsIs reliable, flexible and resilient, with a positive and proactive attitudeIs motivated to continue learning and developing professionallyWhy Work With Us?
