About this role
Job summary The Shop Manager will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all activities and aspects of their shop. Generating sufficient stock through contact with donors and other organisations and providing excellent customer service, to maximise sales and profitability. Be an effective operational manager to the team of volunteers including managing their records, pricing of stock, security of the shop and its contents, and promoting the shop via social media channels.
Main duties of the job The Manager will also ideally have an understanding of statutory regulations relating to health, safety, trading standards and retail premises. The Manager will be committed to high standards of customer care.

At our fantastic and stylish shop in Millom we have a rare opportunity to join our amazing (and modest) retail team as a shop manager.
We need your great selling and visual display skills and more widely your general wisdom. If you have job-specific relevant knowledge that is a plus.
We do enjoy a curious and enquiring mind and welcome entrepreneurial ideas- together we can maximise the income from donated items to raise vital funds for SMH.
