We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Band 4 Nursing Associate to work within our Leighton Buzzard Primary Home Care Team. You will be based in Dunstable, but cover the Leighton Buzzard area, however there is an expectation that staff will cover across the bases if needed. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the community nursing setting, with the possibility of being supported to complete your Nursing qualification. You will have the opportunity to be involved in facilitating self-care for patients with long term conditions, health promotion and innovative activities and projects that enhance patient service delivery and staff wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

You must have a driving license and have access to a vehicle in order to carry out your duties. You will be required to work a shift pattern covering 7 days a week from 08:00-21:00.

Education Essential

NMC Registered Nursing Associate Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent

Other Essential

Motivated to providing the highest standards of care in a changing service Able to work on an internal rotation shift basis and flexible working Awareness of equal opportunities in the workplace Able to work within the accountability framework Personal Integrity

Experience Essential

Work experience relevant to the post Managing challenging and aggressive behaviour Working within a multidisciplinary team environment Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and knowledge of methods to develop culturally sensitive practice Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information

Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code.
