Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated Nursing Team at Brockworth Surgery. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, a willingness to learn, the ability to take on responsibility, and a strong team ethic. We are looking for the candidate to work full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
Initially, the main duties of the role will include phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, and performing ECGs. At a later stage, the successful candidate will receive training in long-term condition reviews, NHS Health Checks, and wound management. Please note that over 70% of this role will involve phlebotomy.

Brockworth Surgery is a practice based in Gloucestershire caring for over 11,000 patients. We are a teaching practice and our team consists of 3 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1 Lead Practice Nurse, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Lead Healthcare Assistant and 1 Healthcare Assistant. We also work within a multidisciplinary team of Mental health practitioners, Pharmacists, Care Co-ordinators and Social Prescribers. We have a very good team ethic at the practice and all work together to ensure high quality care is given to our patients.
