About this role

Job summary

We are recruiting for two Receptionists to join our team at Kingswood Locality Hub, each working 15 hours per week.

The available working patterns are:

Monday: 9:30am - 5:00pm and Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday: 9:00am - 4:30pm

The service is based at Kingswood Locality Hub and provides a range of specialist children's services across BNSSG, including Community Paediatrics, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Physiotherapy. We support children and young people aged 0-18 years and their families.

We provide a child-centred and holistic service, working closely with colleagues across health, social care, and education to ensure children and families receive coordinated and effective support tailored to their individual needs.

Main duties of the job

As a Receptionist , you will be the first point of contact for service users, parents, carers, professionals, and visitors to the Long Cross Centre and Allied Health Professional services. You will play an important role in providing a welcoming, professional, and efficient front-of-house and administrative service.

The service supports children and young people aged 0-18 years and includes Community Paediatrics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health Visiting, and School Health Nursing services. The role will also involve acting as a first point of contact for Social Care teams based within the hubs.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably in a customer facing or receptionist role Experience of using a wide range of office equipment (i.e. computers, faxes, photocopiers, switchboard) Experience of using a variety of IT systems including Microsoft Office

Qualifications Essential

GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths Relevant knowledge and experience or NVQ Level 2 in business administration

Skills Essential

Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience of diary management/ room booking systems
