Job summary
We are currently seeking professional and well-presented individuals to join our Switchboard team. Switchboard is a crucial department within Dorset County Hospital and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The individual must be professional, reliable, have excellent interpersonal skills and with excellent written English skills. You should also have excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
The Telephonist role will include:
Dealing with client queries in a polite and professional manner, maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and upholding the company's professional image at all times. Able to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail. A strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to deal with complex issues fast and efficiently putting clients first. Managing telephone and email enquiries and maintaining accurate client records against the computer database. Manage all queries from customers Efficiently manage queries from customers in accordance with processes and guidelines Keep up to date with treatment knowledge Assist and support other team members To assist new starters with information and advice on the direction of calls including listening in after induction. Answer all incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner; Announce callers when transferring; Take accurate messages and distribute accordingly; Ad hoc front desk duties as required. The receptionist part of this role will include Background in working at health or corporate receptionist Well-presented, confident, punctual, reliable, intuitive. Act in professional, friendly, polite and positive manner with clients at all times.

Education,qualifications and traning Essential
GCSE (Grade C or Above)in English and Maths or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential
Experience of working within an office environment Experience of working with numerous computer systems Experience of working within a switchboard environment.
Desirable
Experience in managing workload to meet deadlines and standards. Experience of working within a reception environment
SKILLS & ABILITIES Essential
