Job summary
To deliver advanced practice level ultrasound examinations with a high degree of autonomy and expertise in clinical practice, whilst independently producing quality diagnostic ultrasound reports. To ensure compliance across all four pillars of the advanced practice framework are maintained.
Main duties of the job
As an advanced practitioner, you will work closely with the senior sonography team, senior colleagues and Radiologists across the Trust, to develop and maximise the ultrasound service, ensuring a patient focused, safe, effective and efficient service that is able to meet the current and future needs of the Trust and population it serves.
You will be willing to lead and have a key role in Departmental and Multi-disciplinary Team meetings and contribute to improving patient care and services. In addition, you will have a significant role in clinical governance and the training in ultrasound of others, as agreed with the ultrasound management team. This will include Radiographers, Midwives, trainees, and other medical staff and HCPs.

PGC/PGD in medical ultrasound or equivalent (CASE) Registered with HCPC, NMC or equivalent Relevant experience and proven senior clinical competency Additional speciality

Masters qualification in ultrasound
