About this role
We are seeking acompassionate, organised and child-centred Pastoral Managerto join our supportive primary school team. This is a vital role supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour and inclusion, alongside assisting the SENCo in delivering high-quality SEND provision.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND, are able to thrive both socially and academically within a safe, nurturing environment.
The Role
As Pastoral Manager, you will:
Provide targeted pastoral support to pupils experiencing emotional, behavioural or social challengesWork closely with the SENCo to support SEND provision and inclusive practiceBuild strong relationships with pupils, families and staffLiaise with external agencies to secure appropriate support for children and familiesContribute to safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour across the schoolThis role includes Assistant SENCo responsibilities, supporting the coordination, monitoring and documentation of SEND provision.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with additional or emotional needsIs nurturing, patient and resilient, with a strong commitment to inclusionHas a good understanding of safeguarding and child developmentCan communicate confidently with pupils, parents and professionalsIs organised, reflective and able to work both independently and as part of a teamExperience or training related to SEND, pastoral care, SEMH or education is highly desirable.
