Job summary
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Clinical Pharmacy Service to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.
They will provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical pharmacy teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care, medicines optimisation, governance, patient safety, workforce development, and service transformation.
The role supports organisational priorities, national NHS strategy, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards including GPhC, CQC, and NHS England requirements.

The opportunity has arisen to join one of the most forward-thinking Acute Trusts in the Southwest. Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is an Integrated Care Organisation providing Acute and Community Care to a population of 300,000 across beautiful South Devon.
The pharmacy provides a clinical service to a full range of medical and surgical specialties at Torbay Hospital and to less acute beds in our four Community hospitals. In addition to these activities, clinical pharmacy services are provided to a number of community-based Intermediate Care Teams and Virtual Wards which have been established over the past 2 years.
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for the provision and development of the Clinical Pharmacy Service to the acute beds at Torbay Hospital and be an integral part of the Pharmacy Management Group. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will report to the Director of Pharmacy.
The Trust has recently implemented a full Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of a One Devon implementation programme. We are looking for a dynamic patient focussed leader to ensure that clinical pharmacy services continue to grow and develop in the future, capitalising on the electronic opportunities which will be possible as part of the EPR investment.
