About this role

Job summary Queens Park Group Surgery is looking to welcome a administrator/secretary to their team. This position can be offered on a full or part-time basis and hours/days will be discussed at interview.

Main duties of the job

Accurately input data into the clinical computer system, including A&E notes, smear results & other patient records. Use Microsoft Office applications & in-house clinical systems efficiently. Type correspondence such as letters, reports & referral documents. Enter & manage out-of-hours service data. Maintain & support computer systems including troubleshooting issues, managing iOS, registrations, path links, & data backups. Respond to patient queries in person & via telephone in a professional manner. Handle GP enquiries, referrals & medico-legal reports. Liaise with hospitals (private & NHS) re. appointments & related queries. Input & manage reports relating to registrations, maternity, contraception & minor surgery, including associated claims. Maintain accurate patient registration details & ensure records are up-to-date. Manage & process patient data for individuals aged 75+. Support the achievement of practice targets, including cervical cytology, immunisations & contraception. Scan & upload relevant documents to patient records. Prepare & photocopy documentation for solicitors, employment reports, insurance purposes & similar requests. Order & maintain stock of health authority & hospital stationery. Manage incoming & outgoing postal services. Apply read coding to correspondence accurately. Administer & process smoking cessation services & associated claims. Attend training courses & meetings as required. Maintain strict clinical confidentiality at all times.
