Job summary Research Fellow in Vascular Surgery

We are inviting applications to fill our Research Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Vascular Surgery. This post will commence September 2026 and is fixed term for 1 year.

Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.

Main duties of the job Are you interested in the opportunity to join a dynamic Vascular team within one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe?

We are looking for enthusiastic Vascular Surgeons to join as research fellows in our Vascular and Major Trauma Service. This post is at Specialty Registrar level ST3+ level and in addition to working toward a postgraduate research degree, will support the delivery of services including participation in 1:9 Vascular and Major Trauma Surgery acute rota.

Leeds Vascular Institute (Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust) is a thriving busy vascular surgery department and in addition the Vascular Surgeons participate in the Major Trauma Centre team. The applicant should therefore hold ATLS or an equivalent qualification.
