Main duties of the job As a housekeeper at Gregory House, you will be an important part of the team ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the environment for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Your responsibilities will include cleaning various areas, including wards and office spaces, while ensuring the hospital's security standards by following policies and procedures. You'll be an active team member with telephone etiquette and the ability to greet visitors professionally. Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, visitors, and service users while helping nurture a positive culture. Youll also attend training to support your career growth. To succeed, youll need previous cleaning experience in similar environments, enjoy cleaning, possess problem-solving skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As a Housekeeper you will be:
Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital. An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation. Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner. Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users. Helping create a positive culture. Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post. Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare. You will be working at Gregory House, a Learning Disability and Autism service, providing care and support to 22 adults who have a Learning Disability and/or Mental Health needs. You will work alongside the team helping to provide a specialist provision. The service has an enhanced level of support to allow people with continuing challenging behaviour and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, but within a service which is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks. The service ensures people lead good and meaningful everyday lives, where they have choice and control, accessing mainstream services and facilities, engaging in work and training, in leisure opportunities, hobbies and areas of personal interest. Gregory House encourages people to be as independent as possible with the long-term aim of people moving onto a more independent living setting.
