Are you an an experienced band 6 or already a band 7 Occupational Therapist with a solid background in mental health looking for a new challenge?
Would you thrive working independently in a community setting whilst taking a leadership role and contributing to service improvement?
In this role you will lead and deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs in a secondary care, community setting.
This includes managing a complex caseload, providing clinical & professional leadership, supervision, line management duties, and contributing to service development, quality improvements and transformation initiatives.
The team is made up of a full complement of MDT professions, and as a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the team you will support a positive attitude and commit to providing excellent holistic care.
You will have regular access to Occupational Therapy specific supervision, support, networking and development opportunities.
This position is full time, permanent, working onsite or in the community five days a week at NHS, Slough New Horizon, Pursers Court, Slough.
Main duties of the job
Clinical
Deliver advanced OT assessments, interventions and outcome measures, using evidence-based, client-centred approaches for adults with complex mental health needs and diverse co-morbidities. Leadership and Supervision
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OTs, support workers, apprentices, and students. Service Development and Governance
Lead in service evaluation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Other Duties
Take a lead on and be responsible for the oversight of the rehabilitation programme within the established Supported Housing project. Take a lead on ensuring the provider is working in a way that is compliant with Local Authority Commissioning Contracts. To develop andfacilitate co-produced workshops for the Recovery College.
