Job summary
We are looking for a salaried GP who will be able to work 4 sessions alongside our current team of two partners in our well established, enthusiastic and high achieving practice. We are situated on Baglan Moors in Port Talbot in the purpose-built Port Talbot Resource Centre, which is conveniently located just off the M4 motorway at Baglan.
We are a friendly practice and we were announced as joint winners of the RCGP Practice Administration Team of the Year Award 2013.

High achiever Paper light practice using EMIS Physician Associate - well experienced Excellent nursing and admin support 2 practice nurses and 1 HCSW Modern, purpose-built premises in the Resource Centre No OOH / weekend or extended hours Supportive team with cluster paramedic, OT, Health Board pharmacist and social prescriber Salary- negotiable / depending on experience

Triage and face to face appointments
On call
Equitable share with other Doctors
Covering partners
Equitable share of workload when a member of the Clinical Team is away
Share of cover for doctors when they are on leave
On call duties when requested by the partnership
Prescribing - EPS June 26
Checking and signing repeat prescriptions
Dealing with workflow queries, blood results, prescriptions, medical reports and examinations, referral letters (NHS and private) and correspondence(Docman) by the end of their working week
Taking an equitable share of the queries and workload from the wider MDT team
Making professional autonomous decisions with either self-referred patients or those referred by another member of the MDT team
Recording and making contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards
Prescribing within locally agreed guidelines
The working day runs from 08.30 18.30
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Qualified GP MRCGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Full GMC Registration National Performers List registration Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
Desirable
Experience of working in primary care Experience of working in a GP practice Experience of medicines management
