About this role

Job summary

The practice are seeking a 4 session GP to work ideally a Thursday and Friday to complement our existing team.

We are a growing practice with a current list size of 6200 patients, 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners. We have an excellent Practice Nursing and Healthcare Assistant team and are supported by an excellent admin/workflow team.

We are part of Hartlepool PCN and are supported by the PCN and ARRS roles (pharmacy team, first contact practitioners, mental health practitioners and social prescribers).

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will conduct 4 sessions a week totalling 50 appointments (mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments) and up to 1 home visit.

As a salaried GP, the post-holder will have a share of the duty sessions.

The post-holder will work as as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract.

Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) Experience of SystmOne Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the GP Register.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
