Job summary
We are looking to recruit Health Visitors within Wakefield. The successful candidates will have a passion and commitment to health visiting. Working to improve the lives of children and families in a transformative service and organisation.
They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to deliver under pressure and able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Main duties of the job
The Health Visiting role is to deliver the Healthy Child Program as part of team, planning, delivering and evaluating an efficient and cost effective service for an identified population.
You will be delivering the National and Local Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social need working with partner agencies in a strategic, creative and holistic way, ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people and families.

Qualifications Essential
First level registered nurse/midwife Specialist practitioner.(Hons, B. Sc. Hons, Health Visiting/ Public Health Nursing or equivalent) Evidence of continuing professional development Highly developed specialist knowledge relevant to working with children and families underpinned by theory.
Desirable
Nurse prescriber. Recognised teaching qualification.
Experience Essential
Experience of partnership working. Sound knowledge and experience of promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of children Evidence of leadership Experience of staff management
Desirable
Experience in leading teams in the provision of health services to children, young people and families.
