William Morris Sixth Form, situated in Hammersmith, was established as the country’s first 16–19 comprehensive school. We offer 850 students from West London and beyond an exciting range of academic and vocational courses from foundation learning through to advanced level. WMSF is an over-subscribed, vibrant, inner-city learning community that has the individual student at the heart of everything it does.
We are looking for a Welfare and Curriculum Supervisor to join us for 32.5 hours per week, term-time only. We are looking for a flexible, practical and enthusiastic person with relevant experience and/or qualifications to join our inclusion team.
In this role, you will:
Assist in the management of student welfare across the Sixth FormAssist in the planning of enrichment and the pastoral curriculum in liaison with leadership and middle leadershipLead on the day-to-day management of enrichmentProvide guidance and intervention for identified students requiring internal support with managing their welfare To be successful, you will have:
Experience in tutoring, coaching or mentoring young people, particularly those who are disadvantagedExperience working within a school or further education setting, with an understanding of the needs of inner-city students in the 16–19 age rangeThe ability to develop successful links with external organisations to arrange one-to-one support and skills workshops, helping build confidence and self-esteemEvidence of providing high-quality and professional practical advice to young people seeking to complete qualifications or employment opportunities Salary: Spinal Point 14, £36,398 FTE (£31,324 plus Inner London Weighting of £5,074), £28,772.37 actual
