Main duties of the job In this role, you will work under supervision to provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and plan, review, and facilitate evidence-based group and individual programmes. You will be part of a dedicated team at Chadwick Lodge, helping service users develop their recovery skills through specialist treatment programs. You will receive guidance and training opportunities to advance your career. Your responsibilities include maintaining contemporaneous records and adhering to professional and service standards. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to research, plan, and evaluate specific projects while supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of clinical pathways and protocols.

As an Occupational Therapist you will be:
Providing comprehensive OT assessments. Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes. Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital. Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards. To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy A UK HCPC registration or applied for Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups Effective written/verbal communication skills Where you will be working

You will be working at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour.
The service offer a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving service users at every stage. The hospital’s consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry. All programmes are designed to reduce the risk of re-offending and to maximise the potential and enhance the quality of life of each service users.
Chadwick Lodge secure services care for service users with complex and enduring mental illness who need to achieve stability in order to benefit from multidisciplinary interventions, helping them move on to community settings whenever possible.
