About this role

Job summary

The Community Inpatient Unit provides short-term, bed-based rehabilitation, re-enablement, and recovery support for individuals following illness, injury, surgery, or significant health events. The service promotes independence, prevents unnecessary hospital admission or long-term care placement, and supports timely hospital discharges. Care is delivered by multidisciplinary teams including Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Care Staff.

Hours: 24 a week, permanent

Salary Range 3 £24,968 pro rata per annum, fixed salary point.

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Healthcare assistant to join the multidisciplinary team at Community Inpatient Unit (CIU) providing nursing and enablement services to patients within the rehab and recovery inpatient unit.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for both the delivery of personal and nutritional care for patients and an element of clinical care, undertaking, observations, basic dressings, swabs, etc expanding clinical skills as time goes on. You will work with a team of recovery workers and be responsible for co-ordination of the direct care for a cohort of individuals, working under the Assistant Practitioner and Nurses.

In return you will be part of a forward-thinking MDT team receive opportunities for further development, regular supervision and support.
