About this role

Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our administration team as a Receptionist within the Dental Radiology Department at the Leeds Dental Institute. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The appointed individual will provide administrative support to colleagues and the clinical team, and help to deliver a high standard of service. They will work within our patient reception, booking appointments, answering telephone calls and supporting patients to access and attend the service in an efficient manner. The suitable candidate should be a friendly, welcoming, and helpful representative of our department and the NHS.

Main duties of the job The candidate will work in the Dental Radiology department within a diverse, inclusive and collaborative team who are friendly and supportive. They will work closely with other members of our small administrative team and also alongside the clinical team consisting of Radiographers, Dental Nurses and Radiologists. A full induction and training will be provided with a period of mentorship to support introduction to a new role.

The department working hours are Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00.

Main Duties To provide reception duties to the Leeds Dental Institute Radiology Department.

To attend to patients both in person and on the phone, managing their referrals and booking in their appointments.

Support patients and clinical team by providing administrative support and through strong communication skills.

Work as team to deliver a high standard of service and ensure a positive patient experience.

Maintain Trust Standards in interactions with all colleagues, patients and clinical staff.

What you will bring to the role KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications

Literate and numerate Experience

Previous Clerical Experience (desirable) Previous Reception/Customer Care Experience (desirable) IT Skills/computer literate. Willing to undergo job training as required on a range of Patient Administration and other Systems. Participate in in-service and mandatory training Participate in annual performance appraisal with commitment to agreed PDP (Personal Development Plan)

Special Knowledge

Insight into role and responsibilities of post Be fully conversant with Medical Records policies and procedures and have complete understanding of standards to be achieved. Be aware of key indicators and service level agreements within the department. Disposition / Attitude
