About this role
The Lead Analytical Scientist – Chromatography will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting chromatographic method development, optimization, and routine testing at a client site. This role emphasizes hands‑on laboratory work, technical leadership, and collaboration within a cross‑functional team, with a strong focus on HPLC‑ and UPLC‑based techniques for protein and antibody characterization.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine analytical assays with a high level of accuracy and complianceLead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic methodsDesign and execute novel separation and identification assaysPerform separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and related techniquesDevelop chromatography methods including:Size ExclusionAffinityReverse PhaseNormal PhaseIon ExchangeHydrophobic InteractionUtilize DAD and FLD detectors to support analytical workflowsProvide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the teamSupport documentation, data review, and method lifecycle activities as required BS or BA in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experienceMinimum of 3 years of hands‑on HPLC experience, preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environmentsDemonstrated experience with HPLC and UPLC method developmentStrong understanding of chromatographic theory and practical application across multiple modalitiesExperience developing and running both routine and novel analytical assaysExcellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environmentSelf‑motivated, adaptable, and detail‑orientedMust be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship What to Expect in the Hiring Process:
