Job summary
Longfield Medical Centre is recruiting for a dispenser on a part-time basis, working a maximum of 31.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work as part of our busy dispensary team, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients. The role involves close collaboration with GPs, nurses and administrative staff, to provide an excellent service.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently Providing advice and support to patients regarding their medication Managing repeat prescriptions Maintaining accurate patient records Stock control and ordering of medication Accuracy checking dispensed medication Ensuring optimisation of medication Ensuring compliance with practice policies and dispensing regulations

Person Specification
We are looking for applicants who possess the following skills and characteristics: Essential
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A flexible and positive approach to work
Desirable
Previous dispensing experience within a GP practice or community pharmacy is preferred Relevant dispensing qualification (or working towards one) desirable
