ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Host/Hostess will be preparing serving trollies and cleaning satellite kitchens, laying tables, assisting in order taking, and serving meals to residents within the Home. Other responsibilities will include: Support the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining Support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals as directed, including supporting those residents to retain their dignity who choose to adopt cutlery-free dining Ensure dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures Ensure menus are displayed and are reflective of the meal choices for the day
Main duties of the job As a Host/Hostess at Avery Healthcare, you will play a key role in delivering excellent service to our residents. Your primary duties will include preparing serving trollies, cleaning satellite kitchens, laying tables, assisting with taking meal orders, and serving meals. You will also help residents with choosing their meal options and ensure dining tables are set and menus are displayed according to standard procedures. We are looking for a candidate who is warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated, with experience working in a similar setting such as a restaurant or hotel. You must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene. A positive attitude towards residents, compassion, and commitment to delivering excellent culinary services are essential. A DBS Disclosure check will be required, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK is necessary.
